Awakening Time is the first joint exhibition of the newly formed art collective ART!ŠOKK – a shared statement not in style, but in growth. Each artist’s work is distinct, yet together we form a budding organism: layered, protective, and gradually unfolding like an artichoke plant.

For us, painting is an event and a process in which time collides with human thought, and chance, error, and play are part of a living whole. Shock is not the goal, but the inevitability of awakening – an impulse that shakes one out of lethargy. We do not promise solutions; rather, we create shifts and remain present to allow growth to become visible.

The collective includes the artists Henrik Hürden, Henrik Esse, Krete Erlenhein, Keili Luik, Kristjan Kirotar, Kaspar Hommuk, and Gerth Kuusk.
